The Caterease Onboarding series is a free collection of live online trainings available to all users. Designed to explore the basic concepts of the program, these classes are a perfect starting point for new users – as well as a helpful means of brushing up for users with more experience.

Booking a New Event
Prerequisites: None
The perfect introduction to Caterease, this class shows you how to add a new client and book an event – from choosing a date and entering general details to building a menu, emailing a print and posting a payment.

Event Manager Tools
Prerequisites: “Booking a New Event” or experience using the program
This class follows up on the concepts learned in the Booking a New Event class, exploring such concepts as creating a detailed timeline for an event, creating a checklist of to-do items, copying events, managing tax/service charge rates, scheduling future payments, evaluating event cost and profit, applying discounts and attaching external files to an event.

Processing Payments with HPay
Prerequisites: “Booking a New Event” or experience using the program; HPay signup completed
This class demonstrates how to process credit card payments, store cards “on file” for contact people, send payment links to customers for payment, send authorization links to confirm authorized cards for events and more.

Setting Up Online Ordering
Prerequisites: “Booking a New Event” and “Event Manager Tools” or experience using the program
This class shows you how to prepare your program’s menus to be published to your Graze online ordering platform; setup your online ordering environment including menu organization, ordering rules and more and how to process online orders into your Caterease program.

Customizing Event Prints
Prerequisites: The previous two classes or experience using the program
This setup class teaches you how to create and modify custom event prints using layouts provided in your program’s Print Designer. Learn how to create custom print headers and footers – inserting logos or other images, entering text and inserting dynamic merge fields. Discover how to use special Top Notes and Bottom Notes sections to enter general information or terms and conditions for your prints, as well as how to suppress sections, rearrange information, change fonts, change print layouts and more.

Default Menus Setup
Prerequisites: “Booking a New Event” or experience using the program
Although we at Caterease entered your basic menu information prior to deploying your program, you are free to edit anything we’ve done or add more details. In this class, you will learn how to rename and rearrange your default menus, add new menus and items, modify existing details, establish minimum and linked quantities, designate inventoried items, build automatic menu packages, setup required items and ingredients and more.

General Program Setup
Prerequisites: “Booking a New Event” & “Event Manager Tools” or experience using the program
This class is designed to help you set Caterease up for the specific needs of your operation. You will learn how to customize drop-down (quickpick) lists, rename various fields in the program, create custom fields, make certain fields conditionally required, establish default settings for new bookings, limit the number of daily events, setup system security, create default timelines and checklists and more.
