Caterease Software announced this month the official release of its massive new update – Caterease v16 – for users of its hosted program. The revolutionary new update – packed with hundreds of powerful new features and an all-new Microsoft SQL database backend – is the most anticipated and most exceptional update the company has ever released.
“It’s hard to overstate the power of this exciting new version,” says Chris Kopriva, Caterease Director of Sales and Training. “Due to the move to Microsoft SQL, every single feature in the program has been reevaluated and enhanced.”
Kopriva points to a video almost twenty minutes long on the company’s website (www.caterease.com) that outlines some of the incredible new features packed into Caterease v16. “Even for a company as known for feature-packed new releases as we are, this one really is a cut above,” he says.
Among the many powerful new tools Caterease v16 offers, several stand out to Kopriva. “First,” he begins, “are the many enhancements to ingredient and packing list management. Caterease v16 has completely revamped both of these areas, allowing users to create custom units of measurement and custom conversions for their ingredients – and also allowing users to identify how required items such as plates, napkins, silverware, etc. are packed and shipped.”
Of course, that just scratches the surface of an update this significant, Kopriva explains. “One of the biggest showpieces in v16 is the new Web Inquiry module,” he continues, “which allows users to create custom web forms and place them on their website to capture web leads or prospective events. Once their customers fill out and submit these forms, all information is instantly passed directly into the new Caterease Web Inquiry Manager for processing.
“Of course, the Remote Data import tool has really been a draw for new users of the program,” Kopriva points out. “Using this tool, new users can import data from their previous software programs to include on reports and even optionally convert into Caterease events. We even have some long-time users leveraging this tool to pull in data from supplemental programs such as POS systems – so their Caterease reports can serve as side-by-side comparisons of the different aspects of their business.
“And in addition to the hundreds of other tools that users can take advantage of every day, the move to Microsoft SQL allows us to provide unprecedented flexibility to our many corporate customers who have multiple locations using the program,” Kopriva says. “Powerful new enterprise-level tools allow corporations to more easily share and manage data across various locations, as well as collect data from several or all locations onto calendars, reports and custom query tools.”
In an industry where it’s often hard to cut through the hype and hyperbole surrounding software update announcements, Caterease continues to set the standard. Caterease v16 is sure to delight the company’s 45,000 users all over the world and attract the attention of new users and competitors alike. For a company fond of saying that nothing else in the industry even comes close to their product, this amazing new update is further evidence that Caterease is the industry leader for a reason.
